Blue orange breakfast is worth getting up early for, the smoked salmon scrambled eggs or ricotta & passionfruit soufflé pancakes are amazing.
Lunch is always busy as locals and visitors line for a table to get the chargrilled chicken or seared salmon salad, all inspired by chef / owner, Shane's international training.
At night Blue Orange’s casual cafe atmosphere makes way for an intimate, warm, candle lit room. The dinner menu offers interesting flavours with staples like slow cooked Flinders Island lamb or porcini risotto. The wine list is intelligent and food friendly. SMH Good Food Guide editor Matthew Evans said "Owner Shane Lurie is doing the food and what a good thing it is....Blue Orange is one of Bondi's best".

Ken Greeff About 6 months agoSunday is a great day for going out for breakfast, so that is exactly what we did. We arrived at Blue Orange and it was buzzing with people and food flying past us. After waiting a few minutes to be seated, we decided that they may be too busy to accommodate us, so we left, only to return seconds later after seeing another dish being served up.
We were seated inside, at the front of the restaurant. After waiting a couple of minutes we asked if we had to order at the counter and were told that we would be served in a minute. After all the drama, we ordered two avocado on sourdough and a side of mushrooms. When our food arrived everything that had happened earlier vanished from our thoughts while we started to sample what were carefully prepared dishes. The eggs were perfectly cooked and seasoned, the toast was fresh and the mushrooms were full of flavour!
The restaurant may have left a bit to desire in service, but the food is too good to miss. We will definitely be going back soon and I suggest that you give it a try too.like report
