SoBo, the eagerly awaited addition to Bondi’s upmarket culinary scene, is situated in the shell of an old favourite (Hugo’s), yet set to impress with a combination that is entirely unique. Designed to portray the point where sensual elegance collides with bikinis and board shorts; it’s New York chic with an Aussie beachside twist. The decor is sensitive to the surrounds and inviting to the beachgoer while remaining sophisticated and demure. It has the feel of a much loved beach shack, with every detail from the elegant chairs to the fabulous light fittings lovingly chosen from all corners of the globe. At the helm is experienced and previous one hat chef Tauheed Khan. Tauheed embraces a tasty new generation of Australian cuisine with a commitment to fresh local produce and a subtle collaboration of clean, crisp seasonal flavours.

Our current seasonal menu features dishes such as Open saffron ravioli with snapper served with a Morton Bay Bug, king prawn and bouillabaisse sauce and Potato and sage gnoochi with butternut pumpkin served with a Bulgarian Fetta, zucchini flowers and cep sauce. It is dishes such as these resulted in SoBo becoming a finalist for Best New Restaurant in the 2007 RCA awards.
