Ashiana Indian Restaurant was proud to receive two awards for Indian Restaurant of the Year for Outstanding Level of Service, Quality & Authenticity from Pataks for both years in 1995 and 1996.

Ashiana Indian Restaurant is owned and operated by Rajesh Kalra whom has over 20 years of professional trade experience as a Chef. Rajesh currently teaches Commercial Cookery part time at TAFE and is a teacher of Food Studies at the Manly International College of Tourism and Hotel Management. He has been experienced as an Indian Restauranteur since 1991. Many of his achievements include being a member of Industry Reference for Tourism Trading Australia and being a Chef Assessor Indian/Asian Trade Testing for The Department of Education.

Rajesh works closely with his brother Kapil Kalra, whom has over 13 years professional trade experience as a chef both in Australia and overseas. Many of his achievements include working as a Chef at the Regent Hotel and the Park Hyatt. He is a passionate teacher of Food Studies at the International College of Tourism & Hotel Management in Manly and has been a Indian Restauranteur since 1996.
