On a quest to present the ultimate seafood experience, Chef Raita Noda sources daily, the best and finest bounties from the sea. Every day he hand picks over 30 different verieties of seafood for Ocean Room's daily menu which later that day is displayed in Ocean Rooms live aquarium wall. Born in Tokyo, Noda came to Australia in 1990 and completed an apprenticeship at the Matsukaze Japanese Restaurant, Chifley Plaza before taking position as chef de partie at the ANA Hotel Sydney's Unkai Japanese Restaurant and Sous Chef at Ebisu Japanese Restaurant. Noda then spent four years as chef/proprietor of Rise Restaurant, Darlinghurst sydney, focusing on progressive Japanese cuisine. The restaurant was awarded 1 hat in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food guide Awards 2004. Raita Noda has been chef de cuisine of Ocean Room Restaurant since November 2004. Ocean Room is a spectacular backdrop for coastal cuisine through the combination of fresh seafood with Noda's unique blend of Japanese and mediteranean flavours.
