On a quest to present the ultimate seafood experience, Chef Raita Noda sources daily, the best and finest bounties from the sea. Every day he hand picks over 30 different verieties of seafood for Ocean Room's daily menu which later that day is displayed in Ocean Rooms live aquarium wall. Born in Tokyo, Noda came to Australia in 1990 and completed an apprenticeship at the Matsukaze Japanese Restaurant, Chifley Plaza before taking position as chef de partie at the ANA Hotel Sydney's Unkai Japanese Restaurant and Sous Chef at Ebisu Japanese Restaurant. Noda then spent four years as chef/proprietor of Rise Restaurant, Darlinghurst sydney, focusing on progressive Japanese cuisine. The restaurant was awarded 1 hat in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food guide Awards 2004. Raita Noda has been chef de cuisine of Ocean Room Restaurant since November 2004. Ocean Room is a spectacular backdrop for coastal cuisine through the combination of fresh seafood with Noda's unique blend of Japanese and mediteranean flavours.

The Baths restaurant is located on the main beach in Sorrento with breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay. We are open daily (except for Christmas day & when fully booked for a function) from 11.30am for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, sunset drinks and dinner. Drop in any time of day for a coffee, glass of wine or something to eat. If you are feeling cold come to The Baths and sit by the open fire and enjoy our hospitality, great coffee and delicious food. The Baths is an easy one 1¼ - 1½ hour drive from Melbourne. We are fully licensed, and strongly recommend bookings. Weddings Picture your self arriving by boat, sea plane or motor vehicle to The Baths. Wedding ceremony on the beach, local picturesque church or our eastern deck with Port Phillip Bay as back drop - the choices are all yours. A cocktail or cool drink to start on our eastern deck (the deck can be enclosed with sliding glass if the weather is inclement) waiters roving with cocktail food. Then guests can be seated for entrée, main course and dessert. Guests can dance the night away on the eastern deck. The restaurant can accommodate from 50 to 150 guests for a sit down wedding or up to 180 guests for a stand up cocktail style wedding. Both of these configurations will leave enough room for a dance floor. Fantastic photo opportunities are at hand with the historic rotunda approx. 150 metres away, the beach right here -The Baths is located on the beach , Coppins Jetty right here - approx. 5 metres away.
